Each lawn grave position can accommodate up to three burials and six ashes interments.

Plaque Options:

A range of bronze, aluminium and granite plaques are available in varying sizes.

- Most commonly a 381 x 279mm bronze plaque is chosen

Please note: no upright headstones are permitted on lawn graves

Monumental Graves

Top

Bendigo's historical monumental burial section has interments dating back to the 1850s.

The monumental section, with its rich history and heritage, is still used for burials today, with many positions available across the site.

Monumental graves allow for a range of diverse memorials, including upright headstones and grand monuments spanning across one or more graves.

Bronze and aluminium plaques on concrete bases can also be arranged through RPCV as memorials for monumental graves. RPCV have helped many families recognise their ancestors’ graves through this kind of memorialisation.

Niche Walls - Dyett Garden

Top

Two niche walls are located within the Dyett Gardens at Bendigo.

In the 'large' niche wall, one niche has room to hold one full set of adult ashes, which is securely sealed inside the wall by a 160 x 205 mm bronze plaque.

The 'small' niche wall has the traditional interment space, meaning each niche will hold a half set of adult ashes. This is a favoured option for some families that would like to keep or scatter a portion of ash. Ashes are sealed inside the wall by a 152 x 152 mm bronze plaque.

Please note: 'large' and 'small' refer to the size of the plaque, not the size of the wall.
