Donnybrook Cemetery FAQ

Changes to the management of the Donnybrook Cemetery

Why will Remembrance Parks Central Victoria undertake the management of Donnybrook?

Remembrance Parks Central Victoria has been assisting the Donnybrook Cemetery Trust since the beginning of 2022 with the operations and management of the cemetery.

This proposal will mean that Donnybrook Cemetery management and operations will be permanently merged into the RPCV group.

RPCV will ensure that day-to-day operations for the cemetery continue to efficiently and effectively meet the expectations of both right of interment holders and the general public.

When will this happen?

A formal application to the Department of Health will be made by Remembrance Parks on or after 30 June 2022 to formally merge the management and operations of the Donnybrook Cemetery with Remembrance Parks Central Victoria. (This date is subject to change based on community input)

This will allow Remembrance Parks to seek the community's views and answer any questions that people may have before RPCV make an application to the department to progress the merger.

Who do I contact regarding purchasing a right of interment (ROI), booking a service, updating an existing record, or organising a stonemason’s permit after the transfer?

As is the case now, all enquiries regarding Donnybrook Cemetery should be directed to Remembrance Parks Central Victoria on 1300 266 561.

Is Remembrance Parks Central Victoria planning any changes to Donnybrook?

Remembrance Parks Central Victoria is not planning any site changes and will maintain current standards.

I have a site at the cemetery; what do I need to do?
